3 day winter mountaineering trip to Strathcona park – ideally with skis, conditions allowing. Plan A is Reese ridge via Carey lake ridge (depending on snow level on the logging road access). Plan B and C options would access something from Western mines road and would include carrying skis. Flexibility to adjust schedule to weather and AVI conditions would be ideal.
Necessary skills: Backcountry skiing with AST1, steep snow travel with crampons/axe
Gear needed: Winter camping, backcountry skis, crampons, ice axe, helmet
