Drive up Comox Lake main and Cruikshank Canyon logging roads (some rough roads) to 1100 m elevation on the 10th, and hike about 5 km in via Carey Lakes approach. Second day hike to spine of Rees Ridge near Mt Siokum for base camp.
The camp area and hikes are all above tree line around 1800 m elevation. Expect bare patches and consolidated snow fields for easy walking. Yak Trax may be good for early morning hiking.
The week can be spent doing day hikes. Return on the 17th.
