Objective Mellow laps on the Mt. Cokely ski hill
Costs Split gas costs if car pooling.
Meeting location Cameron connector gate at 8:00AM, or optional car pool from Victoria
Description The goal for the day is to ski a few laps at Mt. Cokely. The avalanche forecast is calling for Considerable so we’ll probably get some mellow turns on the old ski hill, or maybe explore in the trees west of the hill if there’s interest. Meet at the Cameron Connector gate at 8:00. We will likely be able to drive to the saddle trailhead, then skin up the road, and take the Rosseau Chute to the stop of the ski hill. Trip is dependent on any precipitation being solid and the gates being open (they have been lately; we should know for sure on Thursday evening).
Skill Level B2. Minimum AST1. Comfortable skiing in trees and on moderate ungroomed slopes. If you’re unsure of your skiing ability, please get in touch. Fitness to skin ~900m of elevation.
Equipment Requirements Alpine touring skis or splitboard and avalanche kit
Maximum Participants 4
