Date: Dec. 16, 2023
Time: All Day
Category: Hike
Level: B2

Maximum 8 people. No dogs.
Weather dependent.

This is the second half of the ‘7 Peaks Hike’, with the first 3 peaks completed on Dec 2 (new participants welcome!)

Pace: moderate to fast-paced

Description: From the Mt Work/Ross-Durrance road parking lot, we will hike over Mount Work (449m) for an ascent of 303m, after which we will descend down and then ascend 70m to the top of Mt Stewart (266m). Another descent and ascent of 48 m up Mt Scafe (232m), and finally our last ascent is 86m up Mt Seymour (141m). Our total ascent will be 507m, and total descent 585m, over a distance of 16km.

Expect to be on the trail for about 6-7 hours moving at a moderate-fast pace with a few breaks to enjoy the views from summits and stop for lunch along the way.

Bring: food, water, hiking poles, gear for all weather, $3 for shuttle driver.

Car shuttle: Assuming we have 8 hikers, three volunteer drivers are required. They will meet at Thetis Lake at 8am, where they will park 2 of the cars and the 3 drivers will take the 3rd car to meet the other hikers at the Mt Work/Ross-Durrance road parking lot. At the end of the hike, the two cars left at Thetis will be used to shuttle hikers back to their cars at Mt Work/Ross-Durrance road parking lot.
Non-shuttle drivers will meet at Mt Work/Ross-Durrance road parking lot at 8:30, and will each pay $3 to their shuttle drivers.

Please indicate if you can help drive one of the shuttle vehicles when you RSVP, and how many passengers you can take.
