Join me for an exploratory attempt on Mount Milner in the Prince of Wales range. Rumours of sunshine are spreading and the call of the mountains is real. If we have decent weather, the views out of the POW range are spectacular.
The plan is to meet in Campbell River Saturday and carpool from there. Head to Dalrymple Creek. I’m hopeful we can get to at least 700 m elevation which makes our objective doable.
Head up logging roads and find our way to the ridge up and Milner. Enjoy some views and if there’s a few turns to be hard we can try that as well
Reference Mt. Milner on pg 349 in Phil Stones T&T sticking to “blue” terrain. As usual Trip Subject to change based on ground conditions and group.
Max participants: 3-5 including trip leader depending on vehicle situation.
Plan to meet in Campbell 730 location tbd and carpool up to POW ski tour and return back to Campbell by supper time
ATES 1-2. If we can get to 700m elevation in my truck or group members then expect 12km 600-700m vert unless we find a powder stash or beautiful views then add a bit more on.
I will connect with partcipants a few days before via email to confirm the trip and our shared expectations
