Meeting location 9:00 AM at the Cottonwood Main gate (approximately 1 km west of Youbou)
Description Climb the 3rd highest Canadian Peak south of the 49th parallel (probably). After passing through the Cottonwood Main gate, we’ll drive 7km. We’ll then hike, bushwhack and scramble (some brief Class 3 exposure) up 1000m, via the west ridge of El Capitan. From the summit, we’ll continue in a loop, descending to Lomas Lake and exiting on a defined trail.
Skill Level Good fitness, comfort with moderate bushwhacking and brief exposure.
Equipment Requirements 10 essentials. Helmet strongly recommended.
Maximum Participants Maximum 5 people. Only ACC members permitted, as per the Mosaic Cottonwood Access Agreement.
