Corner Hill (389m), Dinosaur Ridge West (420m) and Ragged Mountain (578m) are located in the Sooke Hills Wilderness Park. This 18km hike will be 7-8 hours long, including a break for lunch. We will hike at a moderate pace. Trails vary from well-maintained to rough and ‘route like,’ with some steep and slippery sections. Some bushwhacking is involved.
We will be departing the Sooke Road trailhead at at 8:30am sharp. Please arrive no later than 8:20am so that others are not waiting. This hike may be shortened if there is heavy or continuous rain.
Hiking boots with ankle support and good tread are essential for this hike. Hiking poles are strongly recommended. Bring water/hot drink, snacks and a lunch, rain gear, an extra layer of clothing, and a headlamp or flashlight.
Sorry, no dogs.
