Objective: Cokely via CPR Trail to Jewel Lake (and optional exploratory scramble around the saddle and/or Arrowsmith bumps)

Costs: Personal transportation/fuel to trailhead, food for 2 days and 1 night (note: water is accessible throughout (waterfall, streams, lake).
Trip Description:
Day 1: CPR trail to Cokely summit (lunch), short ridge and scramble/drop down to Jewel Lake, set up camp (mid-late afternoon), overnight at Jewel Lake
Day 2: explore around the Arrowsmith bumps to group comfort level, pack up and hike out
Gain: 1,407 m / 4,616 ft+
Distance (RT): 25-35km+
Please note: Odessa and Becky are excited to be co-leading their first trip together with the ACC-VI! We are not professional guides, but are confident in our collective alpine experience.
We will be monitoring the weather forecast as this weekend draws closer. If the weather is expected to be severe, (i.e. heavy rain for 2 straight days) we will consider moving the trip to the following weekend (Sept 13-14).
Skill Level: C2
Experience Level: Experience with overnight hiking trips
Equipment requirements: standard hiking gear (hiking boots, backpack, hiking poles, 1-2L water bottle, high quality socks, small first aid kit), overnight camping gear (sleeping bag, tent, sleeping pad) rain gear, hat, sunglasses, bug repellent, sunscreen, trowel, water purification
Risk level low: technical skills steep hiking and anticipate class 2-4 scrambling (easy-moderate)
