Release of a new feature documentary film about mountain climbing that features a vision impaired man climbing the epic wall of El Capitan. called “LOOKING UP“
Screenings across Canada for one night screenings on Monday June 29 in Cineplex and other theatres. The screening can be a great way to connect fellow climbing enthusiasts to come together for a fun night out at the cinema.
Tickets are available now for screenings across Canada on Monday June 29. Under the Demand Film model a minimum number of tickets for each screening need to be reserved ahead of time in order for a screening to move forward. Reserve your tickets now before the June 18 deadline for each screening to reach the minimum needed to proceed.

LOOKING UP is the inspiring story of Eitan Armon, a young man facing encroaching blindness who takes on the challenge of climbing the world’s most epic granite wall. While in military service at age 20, Eitan is diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa, a rare and incurable genetic disease that causes blindness. With only 5% of his central vision remaining, Eitan learns to rock climb and ascends Yosemite’s daunting El Capitan. Looking Up documents Eitan’s journey and resilience, demonstrating the endless possibilities for those who approach life with positivity.
Director’s Statement
Climbing the Zodiac route of El Capitan was the perfect metaphor for Eitan’s journey from despair to enlightenment. I wanted to share Eitan’s uplifting story of resilience – and his unique charm – with a film audience. When Eitan decided he needed a new challenge and Yosemite captured his imagination, the project transformed from a short recruitment video into a feature film.
Looking Up is a universal story about overcoming limitations and transforming challenges into opportunities.
