CalTopo accuracy

Has anyone had problems with the accuracy of the CalTopo topo layers? For example, on my app if I look at Mt Finlayson, the base topo layer (MapBuilder Topo) reports the summit at around 360m - even the iso lines reflect this.

The (presumably highly accurate) NTS paper topos report the summit at 417m, and other places 419m. Am I just being optimistic that the digital elevation data CalTopo uses would be accurate north of the border? A 60m difference seems pretty significant. But maybe this is totally fine for coarse route planning.

(it’s a different rant that BC doesn’t make the highly accurate digital 20m TRIM maps free for everyone to use)
