Details: This hike is a great way to review the basics of backcountry hiking and camping with a group of like-minded women. We’ll hike along the Elk River up to the Gravel Bar camp area on a relatively straightforward trail with about 600 m of elevation gain. This is a good place to enjoy the lovely views of nearby peaks in Strathcona Park. On Day 2, we’ll hike to Landslide Lake and consider heading up to Iceberg Lake at the foot of Mount Colonel Foster. Depending on how everyone is feeling, we may also explore the river past Landslide Lake. We’ll hike out on Day 3 and aim for a debrief over food and drinks on the way home.

During our trip, we will follow provincial health guidelines to reduce the risk of transmitting the coronavirus.
