Description: The trail follows an old pipeline for a while, followed by easy scrambling and moderate hiking to the bluffs. After taking in the views from the top we will head west from there and follow the trail on top of the bumpy ridge (the “three bears”) back to the pipeline and trail head. A good level of fitness is essential. Length: Approx. 15 km, Depart at the upper parking lot in Sooke Potholes Provincial Park at 10:00 am (location in google maps:

Notes: Conditions of the day may necessitate an alternative date. Required gear: hiking boots with good ankle support, extra layers, rain gear, water, lunch, snacks, 10 essentials. Hiking poles may be useful for portions of the route. No dogs please.
