Meeting place: Comox Lake Dam @ 7:00am
We will drive to the trailhead in the Upper Kweishun Valley, and follow the established route (and bushwhack) to Mirren-Milla Col to set a food cache for an upcoming thru hike.
16km return 900m gain/loss
12-14 hrs return to Comox Lake Dam
Max: Two participants (other than trip leader/ co-lead)
Skills needed:
Must be comfortable with:
Bushwhacking dense slide alder,
4th class scrambling with exposure. Likely ropeless.
Confident ascending and descending steep snow without a rope.
Confident self arresting, and self belaying with an ice axe.
Cost: Roughly $20 for gas (will divide equally)
Equipment:
Ice axe, helmet, personal first aid kit
No vaccine requirement
